The kick-off for this was given on 15 April.
Before starting, discussions were held in the months before with the mayor of Téssékéré and the chiefs of the 17 villages bordering the sites. This is important in order to transfer ownership to the local population from the outset.

In addition, the people there are also trained and made aware of how to manage and protect the forest.

The extra income is also used to invest in the financial independence of the women by supporting, among other things, the community projects they want to realise themselves.
Entrepreneurs Without Frontiers vzw is planting forests on a non-profit basis, with a strong Senegalese and Belgian team, together with some twenty active volunteers who are committed to a cooler climate.
